Journey of Heart General Itinerary Please note: The itinerary is intended as a general guide - they say the way to make God laugh is to tell her your plans. Aspects of the tour may change at short notice due to cultural, weather, or other reasons. Day 1: Arrive in Alice Springs, settle in to your shared room at Aurora Alice Springs. Free time till group dinner (included). D
Day 2: Ron & Barbara pick you up from the hotel and head for Simpsons Gap where we have a welcome circle in the creek bed. Morning tea, then we drive to Hermannsburg Heritage Precinct, site of a Lutheran Aboriginal mission for over 100 years. Lunch here, then we drive to Ipolera outstation, and meet our hosts Mavis & Herman Malbunka, elders of this beautiful area. After we set up in our private campsite, Mavis takes us on a walk and an intimate cultural sharing on a sand dune with wide sunset views. Back in camp, we have dinner, share the gifts of the day, and then sleep under the starry sky. B, L, D
Day 3: After breakfast, we drive with Mavis & Herman to the beautiful Tjilpa Valley on their land for another walk and sharing. When we return to camp, Ron has packed our gear, and we are ready to head for Finke Gorge National Park. The Finke River is said to be the oldest river in the world. After walks, a meditation and lunch, we head back to Alice Springs, where we stay overnight. B, L Day 4: We pick you up from Aurora Alice Springs and depart for Atila (Mt Conner) via Curtin Springs arrive mid afternoon. Welcome ceremony and set up camp in our beautiful private campsite. Overnight in swags under the starry sky. B, L, D
Day 5: Morning walk, centering processes, journal work, drawing, healings . A profound day. Another night in your billion star accommodation. B, L, D
Day 6: After breakfast, we pack up camp and drive to Curtin springs on the way to Yulara (120km).Yulara is the resort town near Uluru Time to explore the Visitors Centre & wander to Yulara town centre for lunch (not incl). Check in to cabins in the Campground. Drive out to Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park (20km), drive around Uluru.Meditative walk to the sacred Mutitjulu waterhole at the base of Uluru. Drinks & nibbles while viewing sunset over Uluru & Kata Tjuta. Overnight in cabins. B, D
Day 7: Early morning breakfast at a viewing area on the way to Kata Tjuta (50km from Campground). We arrive at Kata Tjuta at a time when there are few tourists so we have a quiet walk & sharing in Walpa Gorge. Back to Cultural Centre near Uluru for lunch & to explore the wonderful displays there. We take the beautiful Mala Walk into Kantju Gorge at Uluru. Time out in the afternoon to journal, rest. Farewell Dinner. Overnight in cabins at Yulara. B, D
Day 8: After breakfast, and checking out of the cabins, we have a farewell/ integration sharing in a lovely sand dune area near Yulara. Return to Yulara in time to connect with flights. Ron & Barbara and those who want to- return to Alice Springs. B

climb Uluru, as that is the wish of the local aboriginal Anangu people. |
